Local Rules
RIDGE COURSE — LOCAL RULES 1. FESCUE AREAS All fescue-planted areas are treated as penalty areas. If your ball enters a fescue area, rather than searching, take a drop at the point of entry with a ONE-STROKE PENALTY. 2. PACE OF PLAY DROP AREAS Designated drop zones are provided on the following holes: - Hole 5: Left and right side of green - Hole 6: Right side rough, 120 yards from green - Hole 9: Right side rough, 250 yards from green - Hole 15: Right side rough (water hazard area), 25 yards from green 3. CART PATH ONLY Several holes are designated cart-path-only to prevent compaction and turf damage. Players must keep carts on the path on these holes. 4. OUT OF BOUNDS Defined by white stakes and property fences. The boundary edge is defined by the line between the course-side points of the stakes at ground level. 5. GROUND UNDER REPAIR (GUR) All areas enclosed by white lines and/or marked GUR signs. Free relief under Rule 16.1. 6. DISTANCE-MEASURING DEVICES Players may use distance-measuring devices (rangefinders, GPS) during all rounds unless specifically prohibited by the Committee for a competition.
