Privacy Policy

Account information: When you create an account, we collect your name, email address, and password. Passwords are cryptographically hashed and are never stored in plain text.

Profile information: You may optionally provide your handicap index and gender to enable net scoring and gender-based divisions.

Golf data: Scores, round history (event and casual rounds), league standings, fantasy picks, tournament participation records, Cred balance, challenge history, and friends connections.

Payment information: When you subscribe to a paid plan, payment processing is handled entirely by Stripe. We do not store your credit card number. We retain your Stripe customer ID and subscription status.

Communications: Questions you submit to the Rules AI feature and any emails you send to us.

Technical data: We automatically collect basic technical information necessary to operate the service, such as session tokens for authentication.

We use the information we collect to:

• Provide and maintain the Cleek platform (scoring, round tracking, leaderboards, leagues, friends, challenges, Cred, and fantasy)
• Process your subscription payments and manage your account
• Send transactional emails (event confirmations, score notifications, friend requests, challenge notifications, password resets, billing updates)
• Provide AI-powered rules assistance through the Rules AI feature
• Generate shareable score cards and leaderboard content
• Improve and develop new features for the platform

We do not sell your personal information. We do not use your data for advertising.

Each provider processes data in accordance with their own privacy policies and our data processing agreements.

Cleek uses only strictly necessary session cookies for authentication (powered by NextAuth.js). These cookies are required for the service to function and allow you to remain signed in.

We do not use analytics cookies, advertising cookies, or any third-party tracking technologies. No cookie consent banner is required because we only use essential cookies.

Cleek is operated by Psyndi Holdings Inc. in British Columbia, Canada. Your data may be processed in the United States by our third-party service providers listed above. Canada has an adequacy determination from the European Commission, meaning transfers from the EU to Canada are permitted. Our US-based service providers maintain appropriate safeguards for international data transfers.

We retain your account information and golf data for as long as your account is active. If you request account deletion, we will delete your personal information within 30 days.

Aggregated, anonymized data (such as league standings and historical tournament results) may be retained for the integrity of league records even after account deletion.

Payment records are retained as required by applicable tax and financial reporting laws.

Depending on your jurisdiction, you may have the right to:

• Access your personal data and receive a copy
• Correct inaccurate or incomplete information
• Delete your account and associated personal data
• Export your data in a portable format
• Object to or restrict certain processing activities

Cleek is not intended for children under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under 13. If we become aware that we have collected data from a child under 13, we will delete that information promptly.

We implement industry-standard security measures to protect your data, including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords (bcrypt), and secure authentication tokens. However, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. We encourage you to review this policy periodically. Continued use of Cleek after changes constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
