What doesn’t come over — and why that’s fine
Scores and past results stay in Golf Genius. The import brings the event and the roster; the golf gets scored in Cleek, which is exactly what lights up challenges, predictions, side games, and share cards. This is a one-time import you run yourself — not an automatic or live sync.
Import the event, score it in Cleek, and the engagement comes free — no configuration needed.
Players challenge each other before or during a round. As scores go in on Cleek, challenges are decided automatically.
Spectators predict outcomes hole-by-hole during play. Each score entered resolves them instantly — engagement even for people not playing.
The public leaderboard updates as your group scores. Share the link with spectators, display on a clubhouse TV, or embed on your website.
Branded, shareable images auto-generate for every completed round — round result, personal best, event position. Players share to social media.
Skins, Nassau, Match Play — tracked automatically from the hole-by-hole scores entered in Cleek. No spreadsheets.
Players earn Form for every round and personal best, and build their Cred with every challenge won — across your whole season, not just single events.

No API keys. No IT ticket. A file and a paste.
In Golf Genius, export your event roster / tee sheet as a CSV or spreadsheet — the same export you already use.
Nothing is connected to your Golf Genius account, and nothing in it is changed.
Go to Settings → Golf Genius Import, then upload the file or paste the data. Cleek reads the event details and the player roster.
You see a full preview — event, course, format, and every player — before anything is created.
Cleek creates the event and the roster, ready to play. Your group scores on Cleek, and the social layer comes with it.

No surprises, no hidden connection to your Golf Genius account.
This is a manual import you run when you want it. Cleek does not connect to your Golf Genius account, does not poll it, and does not sync in the background.
You hand Cleek a file. Cleek never signs in to Golf Genius, never writes back to it, and never modifies your events, scores, or settings there.
The parsed event and every player appear in a preview. Nothing is created in Cleek until you confirm the import.
Handicap index, GHIN number, and tee assignment carry across — including plus handicaps, which are read as plus handicaps.
They show up to an event that’s already set up — their name, their handicap, their tee.
At the end of the year, every player gets a recap of their season: best round, favorite course, personality type, handicap journey, challenges won, Form earned. Every round scored on Cleek feeds into it automatically.

No — and we won’t pretend otherwise. It’s a manual, one-time import: you export a file from Golf Genius and bring it into Cleek. Cleek does not connect to your Golf Genius account and does not sync in the background.
No. The import brings the event and the player roster. Scores are entered in Cleek — which is the point: rounds scored on Cleek are what power challenges, predictions, side games, and share cards.
It can, but it doesn’t have to. You can keep using Golf Genius exactly as you do and import the events you want to play socially on Cleek — or run everything on Cleek, which handles setup, scoring, leaderboards, and sponsors.
Only if you also score the event in Golf Genius. For an event you import into Cleek, one player scores the group on Cleek and everyone sees it live — no app download needed.
No. You give Cleek an exported file. Cleek never signs in to Golf Genius, never writes back to it, and never modifies your events, scores, or settings there.
You see a preview of the event and every player before anything is created, so you can cancel and re-import. Existing members are matched by email and then by name, so you don’t get duplicates.
